Utricularia alpina x asplundii is a terrestrial hybrid bladderwort with wonderful vigor. It divides like crazy, but I haven't witnessed it flower, so it's a mystery we can all experience together! I'll upload flower photos if/when this little beaut decides to strut its stuff. Flowers should be mostly white due to the parentage. With your Utricularia purchase, you will receive the full contents of a pot as featured in the photos, minus the soil (this keeps shipping costs low and any potential non-native soil critters from spreading). Utricularia shipping is only $10.00 during the winter (heat pack included) for priority shipping, regardless of quantity of plants ordered from my shop (Jeremiah's Plants).

    U. longifolia is one of the easiest large bladderworts to grow, tolerant of a wide range of wet soil types and temperatures; leaves often reach between 6-12" in length (some may grow even longer), and if given mild seasonal cues will often send up numerous stalks in mid winter to early spring that sport several large, brilliant violet and yellow blooms up to almost 2" across. Packets contain 50+ seeds; these should be able to be cold-stored for long periods if necessary and should germinate readily on moist soil. Plants grow best in an airy sphagnum or peat/perlite mix, kept very moist to even waterlogged. Seeds are shipped in padded envelopes to avoid damage in transit, via USPS mail. US shipping only. As seeds can take time and sometimes special treatments in order to germinate properly, returns cannot be accepted and refunds are not available upon receipt of the seed packets. If a package is lost in transit, please contact as soon as possible.
