They will be of similar size and type. I currently ship Plants out on Monday’s and Thursdays, Because I don’t like for plants to sit over the weekend. So please allow a few days before shipping. Due to county regulations, it is illegal for me to ship plants potted.  I ship all plants bare root wrapped in moist paper towel. I leave the pitchers on (except during dormancy) and do my best to ship with as little damage as possible. However, I cannot guarantee that the leaves or flowers will arrive undamaged. Offered for sale are pups from Brocchinia reducata, a carnivorous bromeliad native to South America.  Your plant could vary in size from approximately 3" to 12" in height.  They are un-bloomed offsets. You will receive 1 pup that may or may not have roots at the base of the plants.  No worries, the roots are only used to anchor the plant in place.  I recommend diatomite and coconut coir for potting media, but any well-draining mix will do.  Shipping for Brocchinia is $12 for Priority Mail delivery regardless of the quantity of plants ordered from my shop.
  • Bug Bat

    $20.00
    Sold By: Fort Bragg Carnivores
Gorgeous, sturdy, and hardy. This lovely plant has colors that pop! Green from base of tube graduates to copper mid tube transitioning to near burgundy on lid. These colors standout against its speckled white areoles on back of throat. Very similar to a Sarracenia Minor but gets much larger and for us, much easier to grow. Flowering size Bug Bat currently growing in 4 inch pot.

A hybrid between the two perennial rainbow plant species, this is a large carnivores with leaves that can reach more than a foot in length on a thick stem that can also reach a foot or more in height over time (even branching with age). They can grow year-round if kept moist and cool enough, or may go dormant during the summer season, dying back to sprout again from the stem and roots. Flowers are huge, nearly 2" across and a brilliant violet coloration. Two or more different clones are needed to pollinate, but it is potentially a species that might be propagated via stem cuttings.   Packets contain 8-10+ seeds; this is a fire-adapted species that needs special treatment to germinate, a 4-6 day soak in 500-1000 ppm GA3 solution recommended.   Seeds are shipped in padded envelopes to avoid damage in transit, via USPS mail (First Class or Priority). US shipping only. As seeds can take time and sometimes special treatments in order to germinate properly, returns cannot be accepted and refunds are not available upon receipt of the seed packets. If a package is lost in transit, please contact as soon as possible.

Darlingtonia Californica is native to the Oregon Coastline and Southern interior and Northern California coast line.  These plants prefer cool nights.  With days occasionally up in the 90's with no greater than 70F root temperature, they still get 50F night temperatures.  Most of these plants have some sort of cool moving water over their rhizomes.  We have the best results planting these in pure sphagnum moss.  You can also use peat moss and perlite. Be sure not to keep them sitting in stagnant water, they deteriorate when this happens. This size of plant grows best in a 3-4 inch size pot, 2-3 years away from flowering size.
