You will receive 1 medium sized plant, bareroot.

Drosera adelae, or Lanceleaf Sundew, is one of the only rainforest sundews, part of the "Three sisters of Queensland" this Australian native is truly a windowsill plant! This is the giant variety, which grows larger than typical ones, though still smaller than a mature King Sundew. Drosera adelae is sometimes called "The poor man's Regia" due to its passing resemblance to the unrelated and more difficult to grow (as well as expensive) species, The King Sundew. Unlike the majority of sundews, this one requires low light and only thrives in very high humidity. A neat trick is to use a cut 2 liter clear plastic soda bottle as an improvised humidity dome! You will receive 1 small sized plant, bareroot.

Offered for sale are pups from Brocchinia reducata, a carnivorous bromeliad native to South America.  Your plant could vary in size from approximately 3" to 12" in height.  They are un-bloomed offsets. You will receive 1 pup that may or may not have roots at the base of the plants.  No worries, the roots are only used to anchor the plant in place.  I recommend diatomite and coconut coir for potting media, but any well-draining mix will do.  Shipping for Brocchinia is $12 for Priority Mail delivery regardless of the quantity of plants ordered from my shop.

A Carlton Carnivores seed-grown cross, this hybrid doesn't get as large as P. moranensis, but given the space can still likely push 3" in diameter, with broad ovular leaves bearing strongly curled margins that can develop red shading particularly at the plant's center and the leaf edges. Potential flowers are quite variable, ranging from nearly solid electric purple with faint darker venation to highly patterned in deep purple and white (see gallery photos for examples). Available plants are flowering sized and around 1.5" in diameter. As these are seed-grown each may produce a different appearance once established both in leaves and flowers. Plants are shipped bare-root wrapped in a moist paper towel, via USPS Priority mail; I typically ship Monday-Wednesday to avoid weekend hold-overs. US shipping only. Many plants are grown in high humidity conditions and may require acclimation, unless otherwise noted. If you are expecting weather that may be detrimental to the plants if shipped, please message me upon making your order! Shipping cost includes heat pack for winter conditions.

A Carlton Carnivores homemade cross, this hybrid combines some of the best traits of both parents. Plants are likely to top out around 2-3" in diameter, with broad ovular leaves bearing strongly curled margins, and can develop flushes of red particularly in the plant's center and leaf edges. Flowers are highly variable across different plants, some very similar to "ANPA A" with a dominant white appearance with purple blotches around the throat, but developing etches of purple veins in the angular petals, while other plants may develop a more lavender background color or heavier veining in addition to the dark throat spots. As these are seed-grown, every plant may present a different combination of traits. Plants are currently 1-1.5" in diameter, many just reaching initial flowering size. Photos include the colony plants will be selected from and examples of different flower possibilities. Once considered to be a possible new carnivorous plant group, Proboscidea and its relatives are now relegated to para-carnivorous at best, or more commonly "murderous plants." This species can get large, adult plants measuring several feet across with multiple branches, leaves held on thick petioles and roughly spade-shaped. At the ends of each branch spikes of large, fleshy, 5-lobed flowers form, typically pale pinkish mauve in color with darker spots and a yellow stripe leading into the throat. These flowers also have two-lobed stigmas that move when touched, the lobes folding together to capture pollen or avoid damage. All parts of the plant are covered in tiny, sticky glandular hairs that regularly capture small insects (defense against gnats and aphids) and will attract small assassin bugs that feed on the victims. Pollinated flowers develop unique pods that, when young, can actually be harvested and cooked as a vegetable, but when mature shed their fleshy outer coating and the narrow tips split to form a pair of wickedly sharp hooks used to snag animals and carry them about to disperse seeds (occasionally crippling the animals, and thereby providing the seeds with fertilizer). Seed packs will contain approximately 10+ seeds. These seeds appear to have a fridge-storage shelf life of only a few years, so sow quickly at the start of the growing season. Seeds are shipped in padded envelopes to avoid damage in transit, via USPS mail (First Class or Priority). US shipping only. As seeds can take time and sometimes special treatments in order to germinate properly, returns cannot be accepted and refunds are not available upon receipt of the seed packets. If a package is lost in transit, please contact as soon as possible.
