This is the largest form of this hybrid that I have retained; when planted separately individual specimens can reach over 3 inches across (though often average between 1.5-2" especially in colony growth), with flat to semi-erect rosettes of spoon-shaped leaves that readily flush solid scarlet in strong lighting. Flower stalks typically reach around 12 inches tall maximum, and can sport a very large number of sometimes mildly self-fertile, bright pink blooms. Very suitable for beginner growers, and will often quickly divide or bud from old leaves or roots to form colonies.

Available plants will be semi-mature to mature, averaging from 1-1.5" in diameter.

Plants are shipped bare-root wrapped in a moist paper towel, via USPS Priority mail; I typically ship Monday-Wednesday to avoid weekend hold-overs. US shipping only. Many plants are grown in high humidity conditions and may require acclimation, unless otherwise noted. If you are expecting weather that may be detrimental to the plants if shipped, please message me upon making your order! Shipping cost includes heat pack or cold pack/insulation as needed for detrimental weather conditions. If there are issues with the plants upon arrival, please contact me within 48 hours of receipt.

Formerly known under the name Lilium tigrinum, the Tiger Lily is an eastern Asian plant that develops one to several deep purple stems between 1-5 feet tall, bearing slender leaves averaging 6-10 inches long all along the length of the stem. At the top, one to several nodding flowers are produced, up to 8 inches or more across with backward-curling tepals colored in brilliant shades of peach to orange with darker brown or black spotting. After blooming, seedpods may form, and/or the plants are capable of developing bulblets within the axils of their leaves, which can be detached to grow new plants.

Currently available are young offset bulbs averaging 0.5-0.75" in diameter, two for quoted price.

Many plants are grown in high humidity conditions and may require acclimation, unless otherwise noted. If you are expecting weather that may be detrimental to the plants if shipped, please message me upon making your order! This is a highly cold-tolerant bulb, capable of surviving deep freezes and should be unbothered by most inclement weather. If there are issues with the plants upon arrival, please contact me within 48 hours of receipt.

This diminutive homemade hybrid looks much like a miniaturized D. tokaiensis, rarely exceeding more than an inch across with flat rosettes of paddle-shaped lamina bearing narrow petioles and broad, slightly tapered lamina, colored bright green with red tentacles and edges to almost solid scarlet. They bloom nearly constantly, sending up gland-covered stalks of hot pink sterile flowers. This is a great colony display plant, as even a single individual will over time divide and bud from the leaves or roots to form mats of traps.

Available plants are mature and around an inch across.

This is a vigorous and rapidly spreading form of the species that grows on average between 1.5-2" in diameter, flat rosettes of tapered leaves that are often bright green overlain with red flushes, sometimes to solid red under strong enough light. Flower stalks are short but bear several small, hot pink, self-fertile blooms. As these seeds spread easily and the plants may divide or bud from old roots over time, they often quickly form carpets of plants.

Available plants are mature, around 1-1.5" in diameter (but can get larger once planted individually).

The poster child of the carnivorous plant world, Dionaea muscipula, also known as Venus flytraps, are the fascinating snappy insect-munchers that fantasies are made of. With hinged jaws, digestive enzymes, and the ability to count, flytraps defy common perceptions about plants. Your purchase includes one of the plants featured here. It’s a mature specimen and is shipped bare root. Venus flytraps are temperate insectivores and originate from the Carolinas where they experience a winter dormancy and spring and summer growth. During winter dormancy, leaves are trimmed back. Come spring, they explode back to life with new trap growth and represent the featured photo.
