    Byblis aquatica is a rainbow plant native to northern Australia, often found in places that are seasonally flooded, and is closely related to the more familiar B. liniflora. Plants can grow to over a foot tall, and this form develops thick, sturdy stems and can sport more than two dozen small but electric purple flowers at a time if fed well. Almost, because when grown in properly strong light the tentacles on the long, strap-shaped leaves can still blush a light to brilliant pink tone.
