    Venus Fly Trap

    This Venus Fly Trap is between 1 and 2 years old. It has been grown from seed indoors under artificial lights, so it may need an adjustment period if you plant to keep it out doors.   Care Instructions Sun: Full sun indoors, or outdoors 6+ hours of full sun Water: Always sitting in distilled or purified water that is at least 1/4 of the pot deep. Let container holding pot dry out before refilling the water to the 1/4 pot depth. Temperature: Does best from 65 degrees to 90 degrees. May tolerate temperatures over 100 degrees for short periods Dormancy: As a native of coastal North Carolina in North America the Venus Fly Trap requires a dormancy period from about October to late February. Leaves may turn black and die back during its dormancy. Less light and less water during this time.

    Wide leaf variety of Drosera Capensis. Drosera Capensis are found in the wild of South Africa. Capensis are hardy plants able to withstand brief temperature fluctuations. Drosera Capensis "Wide Leaf" can grow indoors on a sunny windowsill. Produces Violet rose colored flowers in Summer that produce good amounts of seed. The parrot shaped beak like head of the pitcher is bulbous with a very small entrance hole. This plant is sure to enchant.
