- Sale! Sold By: Brambles BotanicalsThis in-house cross #21018 presents like a pretty typical gypsicola, as would be expected. The plant you will receive will be between 1”-1.5” in diameter. These seedlings have a pinkish tint to their tentacle-like leaves, staying a pale green towards the center, with fine white hairs. We would consider this to be an intermediate level plant.
- Sale! Sold By: Brambles BotanicalsPinguicula “Scrump” is a currently unknown hybrid that made its way into our collection and has become a fun one to grow. The plant you will receive will be between 1”-1.5” in diameter. The hybrid boasts full, round leaves that stay a neon-chartreuse hue of green. The flower itself is a bright pink with large, rounded top lobes and swooping lower lobes. The name comes from the color scheme, reminding us of Lilo’s voodoo doll, Scrump, in the movie Lilo & Stitch. We would consider this to be a beginner level plant.
- Sold By: Brambles BotanicalsPinguicula macrophylla is a desired and yet challenging butterwort, but well worth adding into the collection. The species likes to go aggressively dormant, forming a tight rosette of non-carnivorous leaves and should be kept fairly dry when in this stage. When in active growth, the plant has ovular shaped carnivorous leaves that keep a light yellow-green color with a noticeable vein down the middle, and would appreciate being wetter or in a mossy mixture. The flower of p. macrophylla is what makes the critical care worthwhile; boasting a beautiful blue-purple hue lobes, with a white "tongue" like stripe flanked by dark purple spots near the throat. We would consider this an intermediate-advanced level plant.
- Sale! Sold By: Brambles BotanicalsA wonderful hybrid originally from California Carnivores, “John Rizzi” is a butterwort collection staple that isn’t in circulation much these days. It’s an easy grower that gets quite large, producing gorgeous, bronzy, undulating leaves with sparse, dark venation that are some of the most effective at catching fungus gnats and other small pests that we’ve seen. “John Rizzi” doesn’t flower often for us but the large, round-petaled, pink flowers are worth the wait. The parentage is unknown but this plant was famously crossed by a hummingbird at California Carnivores. Named by Peter D’Amato after, I believe, an employee who was working at California Carnivores at the time. The plant you will receive will be 1"-1.5" in diameter. We would consider this a beginner level plant.
- Sold By: Ferocious FoliageYou will be purchasing a rooted cutting of Nepenthes lowii x truncata. These plants are from cuttings that were struck at the end of December, so they are about 4 months old. Please, DO NOT buy these if you are expecting a large established plant and if you have little experience with young, rooted cuttings. I will only ship cuttings that have terminal growth or a lateral bud has begun growth. The pictures are of this particular species and are representative of the root system and stem. This is a vigorous plant and makes amazing and long-lasting pitchers. You will receive 1 plant that will be shipped to you bare-root by Priority Mail. Shipping for Nepenthes is $12 for Priority Mail delivery regardless of the quantity of plants ordered from my shop.
- Sold By: Ferocious FoliageYou will be purchasing the perennial species Byblis gigantea (typical form). The mature plant illustrated is 1 year old and actually a hybrid, it is just meant to be a guide for what this plant will resemble once mature. You will be purchasing a tissue culture plant in sterile media. It may not have roots. Please note that the cultures pictured are of this species but you will only get one "tube", not a set of 5. Wash the media off the plant and pot it up. I suggest 3:2:1 perlite: sand:peat. Keep the humidity high while the plant acclimates and keep shaded until it acclimates. You can divide these prior to potting if you wish to make additional cuttings. Shipping is $12 for Priority Mail delivery regardless of the quantity of plants ordered from my shop.
