This is a medium (~1 year from flowering size) division of a beautiful atro origally from Jerry Addington. The cross is flava cuprea Chocolate Top x flava rubricorpora Don's Red Tube. Somehow from this a very nice atro was produced. Pictured is my mother plant which is exclusively grown outside. This clone is able to color up fully without greenhouse conditions as long as it's happy and gets enough light. All plants are shipped bare root via USPS Priority mail with pitchers intact when not dormant so your plant arrives safe, healthy, and ready to thrive and I typically ship on Mondays or Tuesdays.

Pinguicula ‘Titan’ is an easy growing, vigorous, and aptly-named butterwort cultivar produced by Cal State Fullerton University’s greenhouse manager Leo Song. The parentage is believed to be Pinguicula agnata x macrophylla. It produces enormous, bronzy leaves and large, round flowers on long scapes. The flowers reportedly have a fragrance but we don’t think we’ve smelled them yet. ‘Titan’ will form a tight, subterranean hibernaculum while dormant. The plant you will receive will be between 1"-1.5" in dimeter. The plants we’re offering are currently dormant, medium-sized plants that should get quite large within the next growing season. While they’re dormant they’re perfect to ship and they’ll be more accepting of new growing conditions if they’re able to wake up in them. We would consider this a beginner-intermediate level plant.

The “Yucca Do” complex is a fun one and we’re still working on collecting all of them. There are up to 7 different plants in total (1712 through 1718) that were wild-collected in Mexico in the mid-90’s by Texas-based Yucca Do Nursery and then introduced into the Atlanta Botanic Garden library. The numbers are an abbreviation of a more complicated system. “Yucca Do 1713” is almost certainly a part of the Pinguicula esseriana complex but its exact identification is still uncertain. Under intense light, 1713’s leaves can flush into a pinky bronze color while the thick leaf edges will remain light, creating a unique, contrasting display. It seems that 1713 does need seasonal temperature and/or light fluctuations to flower. The plant you will receive will be about 1" in diameter. We would consider this an intermediate level plant.

This particular variety of pinguicula moranensis is found 25km outside of the town of San Cristobal de Las Casas in Oaxaca, Mexico. This plant produces almost pure white flowers, save for its yellow throat, and large neon yellow-green leaves that don’t color up much even under high light. The plant you will receive will be between 1”-1.5” in diameter. During dormancy, pinguicula moranensis var. alba will have a tight, rich green rosette with small, slightly pointed leaves. When in active growth, the plant can get quite large with bigger, flatter carnivorous leaves. We would consider this to be a beginner-intermediate level plant.

These seedlings from cross #21048 have grown to be very round, compact little plants, and shows coloration from both parents very apparently. The plant you will receive will be between 1”-1.5” in diameter. The leaves of this cross are very full and round, starting a fairly true pinguicula gigantea pale green and coloring up with a pink tinge much like pinguicula laueana in high light. We would consider this to be a beginner-intermediate level plant.

This hybrid has a very classic look to its leaves, coloring up on the edges more with a slight curled lip. We have not had it flower for us yet, but expect the flower to be white, possibly with a purple throat like its parent p. rotundiflora. This cross has also been somewhat and easier grower, but water level should be watched carefully that it does not go too dry or stay wet for too long. The plant you will receive will be about 1.5" in diameter. We would consider this an intermediate level plant.

Nick-named "Truncville" in-house, this genetically interesting cross between N. truncata and N. villosa would thrive in intermediate conditions; generally speaking of mid-range temperatures with higher humidity. Note that with N. villosa in the genetics the plant would appreciate a nighttime temperature drop. With N. truncata as the mother in this cross, we would expect to see a longer pitcher body that mostly stays a solid color but with speckling inside the pitcher. With N. villosa as the father, the toothiness of this parent may lend to some "ribbed" peristomes as a happy median with the smoother peristome of N. truncata. We would consider this an advanced level plant. *N. truncata parent picture found off a Google search, N. villosa parent picture credit to Chien Lee*

Nick-named "Ventville" in-house, this genetically fun cross between N. ventricosa and N. villosa would thrive in intermediate conditions; generally speaking of mid-range temperatures with higher humidity. Note that with N. villosa in the genetics the plant would appreciate a nighttime temperature drop. With N. ventricosa as the mother in this cross, we would expect to see a more waisted pitcher body shape with some speckling. With N. villosa as the father, the peristome is sure to be toothy. We would consider this an advanced level plant. *N. ventricosa parent picture found off a Google search, N. villosa parent picture credit to Chien Lee*
