This cross #22039 produces spindly plantlets keeping the bright green of the pinguicula rectifolia parent. The plant you will receive will be between 1”-1.5” in diameter. The leaves are thin, long, and bright green in color without seeming to blush up at all even under high light. We would consider this to be an intermediate level plant.

Pinguicula gypsicola x sp "Köhres" (Koehres) is a Mexican butterwort hybrid that is essentially a less expensive and more easily grown Pinguicula gypsicola, albeit with slightly broader leaves. The plant’s father, sp "Köhres" (Koehres), is believed to be Pinguicula gypsicola x moranensis, so there’s a lot of gypsicola genes in this cross. We believe the cross came from Oliver Gluch initially. It's a fun, easy hybrid with long, thin carnivorous leaves and gypsicola-like purple flowers. Under intense light, the leaves produce purple coloration along the margins of the leaf base creating an even more visually complex plant, especially around the crown of the plant. The plant you will receive will be between 1"-1.5" in diameter. We would consider this a beginner-intermediate level plant.

Cute, small cross #20001; vigorous grower much like their parent p. seductora with a light green leaf, some with "purple pits" between them. This hybrid has not given us a flower yet, but is expected to be pink with apparent veining on the lobes. The plant you will receive will be between 1"-1.5" in diameter. We would consider this a beginner-intermediate level plant. *p. seductora flower picture credit to Curious Plant off a Google search

Pinguicula “Scrump” is a currently unknown hybrid that made its way into our collection and has become a fun one to grow. The plant you will receive will be between 1”-1.5” in diameter. The hybrid boasts full, round leaves that stay a neon-chartreuse hue of green. The flower itself is a bright pink with large, rounded top lobes and swooping lower lobes. The name comes from the color scheme, reminding us of Lilo’s voodoo doll, Scrump, in the movie Lilo & Stitch. We would consider this to be a beginner level plant.

Pinguicula “Louise Belcher” is a currently unknown hybrid, named in-house for the green-to-pink color scheme and bunny-like shape of the flower; reminding us of that lovable and spicy kid from the Bob’s Burgers animated TV show. The plant you will receive will be between 1”-1.5” in diameter. The plant itself has a clumping growth habit, with oblong leaves that stay a bright green towards the center while the ends color up a blush pink. The flower is a bright purple-pink with rounded, oblong lobes giving the flower a “bunny ear” like appearance with a white throat. We would consider this to be a beginner level plant.

This unique cultivar of Pinguicula laueana produces flowers that are less intensely red and slightly more faded-looking, appearing orange or salmon-colored. There also appears to be more variability between plants, perhaps because “Tangerine” comes from a California Carnivores cross between two different laueanas: red x fuschia, creating a stunning, new, genetically-unique variety of laueana. The plant you will receive will be between 1"-1.5" in diameter. We would consider this a beginner level plant.

Cross #21066 is made from pinguicula rectifolia x agnata 'Red Leaf', producing flowers that have a dark stalk with a striking white-to-purple gradient on the petals, lined with dark purple veining reminiscent of galactic vapor trails seen in galaxies. The leaves are mostly green, full and round, with a hit of pink blushing at the edges. It is a fairly easy grower with apparent glands that give it a "sparkle" under high lights; a good bug trapper. The plant you will receive will be between 1.5”-2” in diameter. We would consider this a beginner-intermediate level plant.

This hybrid has a very classic look to its leaves, coloring up on the edges more with a slight curled lip. We have not had it flower for us yet, but expect the flower to be white, possibly with a purple throat like its parent p. rotundiflora. This cross has also been somewhat and easier grower, but water level should be watched carefully that it does not go too dry or stay wet for too long. The plant you will receive will be about 1.5" in diameter. We would consider this an intermediate level plant.

Each Pinguicula “UFO” is a genetically unique plant grown from seed produced by a Pinguicula laueana “Tangerine” that was pollinated by an unknown butterwort or butterworts. Since this series' exact genetics are a mystery, we named them “UFO” which stands for “Unknown Flowering Organism.”  Howard suspects that there is some Pinguicula ‘Faulisi’ pollen in the mix because of some stand-out, larger flowers that this cross has produced presented ruffled, pink petals. In contrast, some of the smaller flowers that we’ve seen this series produce remind us of Pinguicula ‘Seductora,’ or laueana x emarginata - it's possible some emarginata pollen may also have been introduced. We have also recorded that this plant goes in and out of dormancy frequently, but have not discovered a specific cadence that fits all plantlets. The plant you will receive will be between 1"-1.5" in diameter. We would consider this an intermediate level plant.

Pinguicula agnata “True Blue” is an incredible variety of agnata that has vibrantly colored purple blue flowers. The leaves have little-to-no anthocyanin (pigmentation) so they stay green even under intense light. Agnata “True Blue” is also a fantastic hybridizer, producing some incredible crosses including our new series “Bled.” The plant you will receive will be between 1"-1.5" in diameter. We would consider this a beginner level plant.

Pinguicula laueana "Red" is one of those must-have plants. This is the only butterwort with a truly red flower. The leaves produce varying blushes and dark red venation. It’s also a great hybridizer that produces incredible offspring. Honestly, that this plant even exists and is in cultivation is a wonder to me. Pinguicula laueana "Red" was collected by the famous botanist Alfred Lau in 1973 and named after him in 1989. The plant you will receive will be between 1"-1.5" in diameter. We would consider this a beginner level plant.

The plant you will receive will be between 1”-2” in diameter. Grown mostly for the leaves that resemble a tu-tu, it has a bright green coloring with a pink blush under high light and a wavy leaf pattern.  We would consider this a beginner level plant.
