An in-house Brambles Botanicals hybrid, Pinguicula “Starburst” is agnata “Red Leaf” x rectifolia (CROSS # 21065). This series produces a lot of variability in both flowers and leaves. We named this series “Starburst” because all of the flowers appear to have an explosive appearance, sometimes with imperfections like Tie-dye patterns or mottling that reminded us of astronomical events unfolding— but also the candy, particularly because this series’ glistening leaves often have a pinkish hue that makes the plants look like candy. The mother plant, agnata “Red Leaf,” is known for producing blood-red leaves under high light, due to increased anthocyanin (pigmentation). The father plant, rectifolia, has dramatic, purple flowers with slight ruffles which makes for an endlessly versatile combination when mixed with agnata “Red Leaf’s rounder, whiter flower. Each plant is genetically unique, seed-grown, and one-of-a-kind! The plant you will receive will be between 1"-1.5" in diameter. We would consider this a beginner level plant.

An in-house Brambles Botanicals hybrid, Pinguicula “Bled” is agnata “True Blue” x agnata “Red Leaf” (CROSS # 21023). The name “Bled” is a blend of “Blue” and “Red” from each parent's name. Each plant from this series is a seed-grown, genetically unique, pure Pinguicula agnata from two agnata varieties on the opposite end of the spectrum from each other: agnata “True Blue” has little-to-no anthocyanin (pigmentation) so the leaves stay green, while agnata “Red Leaf” has increased levels of anthocyanin and will, under intense light, produce blood red leaves. “True Blue’s" flowers are vibrantly colored in a blue-ish lavender while the flowers of “Red Leaf” are whiter, usually only featuring lavender coloration on the edges of the petals while the flower is young. Though we have yet to record a flower, many “Bleds” are already showing the best features of both parents. The plant you will receive will be between 1"-1.5" in diameter. We would consider this a beginner level plant.

Each Pinguicula “UFO” is a genetically unique plant grown from seed produced by a Pinguicula laueana “Tangerine” that was pollinated by an unknown butterwort or butterworts. Since this series' exact genetics are a mystery, we named them “UFO” which stands for “Unknown Flowering Organism.”  Howard suspects that there is some Pinguicula ‘Faulisi’ pollen in the mix because of some stand-out, larger flowers that this cross has produced presented ruffled, pink petals. In contrast, some of the smaller flowers that we’ve seen this series produce remind us of Pinguicula ‘Seductora,’ or laueana x emarginata - it's possible some emarginata pollen may also have been introduced. We have also recorded that this plant goes in and out of dormancy frequently, but have not discovered a specific cadence that fits all plantlets. The plant you will receive will be between 1"-1.5" in diameter. We would consider this an intermediate level plant.

You will be purchasing a rooted cutting of Nepenthes ventricosa ‘porcelain’.  These plants are from cuttings that were struck at the end of December, so they are only a little over 4 months old.  Please, DO NOT buy these if you are expecting a large established plant and if you have little experience with young, rooted cuttings.  I will only ship cuttings that have terminal growth or a lateral bud has begun growth.  The pictures are of this particular species and are representative of the root system and stem.  This is the same plant, a female, sold by another vendor on the marketplace for $800. You will receive 1 plant that will be shipped to you bare-root by Priority Mail.   Shipping for Nepenthes is $15 for Priority Mail delivery regardless of the quantity of plants ordered from my shop.  We ship Mondays and Tuesdays.

NEW TO MARKET - This cute, seed grown cross #21039 boasts a full rosette of round leaves that take on the green-to-pink coloring of both parent plants. As the plant grows, it's easier to notice the "purple pits" between the leaves and may be slightly more on the slower growing side thanks to its parent p. 'Faulisi'. So far, we have not gotten a flower from them but expect it to be a larger flower with slight wave to its petals, somewhere between a deep pink to bright tangerine color. The plant you will receive will be between 1”-1.5” in diameter. We would consider this to be an intermediate level plant.

New to the market, this in-house cross #21060 produces cute little plants with round leaves. The plant you will receive will be between 1”-1.5” in diameter. The coloration of this cross is mostly a pale green, but with pinkish margins “purple pits” that come from the parent ‘Faulisi”. The leaves tend to show more defined coloration under high light. We would consider this to be an intermediate-advanced level plant.

This classic hybrid is made up of pinguicula agnata and pinguicula (moranensis x ehlersiae) genetics, producing a beautifully ruffled and brightly colored plant. The plant you will receive will be between 1”-2” in diameter. Grown mostly for the leaves that resemble a tu-tu, it has a bright green coloring with a pink blush under high light and a wavy leaf pattern.  We would consider this a beginner level plant.

This hybrid was named “Improbable” because it is a supposed cross with pinguicula kondoi, which is thought to be sterile. The cross itself is pinguicula agnata "Red Leaf" by pinguicula kondoi. In addition, it has an interesting growing habit where it loves to clump and divides readily. The plant you will receive will be between 1”-2” in diameter. This cross sports a cute white, pale, purple veined flower with “purple pits” and yellow throat. The leaves are rounded, mostly a pale green, but colors up a nice blush-red under high light. We would consider this to be an intermediate level plant.

This is a flowering size division of the beautiful leucophylla from Calen Hall. I've pictured it grown outdoors in my dry conditions so you can see that the mouth does infuse with pink in outdoor conditions. It's a small grower, but is vigorous and divides readily producing a robust bouquet in the fall. All plants are shipped bare root via USPS Priority mail with pitchers intact when not dormant so your plant arrives safe, healthy, and ready to thrive.

For those of you looking for AMAZING Mitchelliana bred by master Sarracenia breeder Phil Faulisi, here is your shot! This cross was grown from seed obtained from Phil in fall of 2018 and are showing some AMAZING colors. Due to our high powered LED lights, these plants don’t currently exhibit much white coloration, however outdoors they should be striking with white hoods and strong veins! The plant you are purchasing will be shipped, potted in a 2.5” pot ready to grow for you! The plants are currently growing indoors under lights, so you will need to harden them off gradually before moving them outdoors to grow. These will be stunners! The last photo in this listing is from a friend whom I shared one of these plants with and should show a better idea of what they’ll look like outdoors. Shipping on these plants is FREE, so stock up!
