The largest species of Sarracenia. Pitchers are all yellow and can grow over 3 feet tall.  It sends up the largest ones in Spring, then long leaves that look like undeveloped pitchers during winter. The flowers are also huge and are known to smell like cat-pee. There are many different varieties of S. Flava, but these will be the all yellow form with possibly a slight bit of red on the back of the throat or a little bit of red veining on the top of the lid. Fully mature Flava currently growing in a 4 inch pot Note: Most flava pitchers are really old and some start falling over by Late July/August. Plants sold after this time may not have as many pitchers as plants sold in spring. It’s just part of their natural Cycle. I usually trim all pitchers off in Fall.

Sarracenia Courtii is found in the wilds of northern Florida and southern Alabama. The lids make the plant unique. Lids are rounded and curl up and the inward corner of the mouth. Deep coloration in the winter make this plant a stunning addition to any bog garden. Plant is currently in a 3 inch pot and has multiple growth points. The plant in the picture is the exact plant for sale. Not a division, but the entire plant. I currently ship Plants out on Monday’s and Thursdays, Because I don’t like for plants to sit over the weekend. So please allow a few days before shipping. I ship all plants bare root wrapped in moist paper towel. Due to county regulations, it is illegal for me to ship plants potted. I leave the pitchers on (except during dormancy) and do my best to ship with as little damage as possible. However, I cannot guarantee that the leaves or flowers will arrive undamaged. They are delicate after all. CPR158
