This botanical velvet cushion cover features an original illustration of a Cobra Lily.

Darlingtonia californica is a fascinating species. One of the most beautiful plants with their snakelike tongues and dappled hoods.

I draw all the images that feature on my wallpaper and homeware range by hand.  To start I draw the outline in ink. The next stage is to add shading in dot work. After this is complete I paint in vibrant watercolours.

To finish the illustrations are digitally printed onto a short pile velvet and then made into cushion covers.

My collection is all manufactured in the UK. I partner with small factories that pay their staff a fair wage. I never use sweatshops or outsource abroad.

The best choice in my opinion is wool. This wonder material stays bouncy, is sustainable and is a great temperature regulator. If you prefer a vegan alternative there are some great synthetic options these days.
