One of the original carnivorous plant cultivars (and a variety commonly mislabeled as “var. alba”), this form of Cape Sundew is best known for almost entirely lacking red pigment. Almost, because when grown in properly strong light the tentacles on the long, strap-shaped leaves can still blush a light to brilliant pink tone. Plants may reach between 5-10 inches in diameter at maturity, with tall hairy stalks that bear large, pure white self-pollinating blooms.
Seed packets contain 30+ seeds each; this species does not require any special treatment to germinate, and will grow in a wide variety of conditions but does best in cool temperatures, very bright light to full sun, and with sandy peat-based soil.
Seeds are shipped in padded envelopes to avoid damage in transit, via USPS mail. US shipping only. As seeds can take time and sometimes special treatments in order to germinate properly, returns cannot be accepted and refunds are not available upon receipt of the seed packets. If a package is lost in transit, please contact as soon as possible.
