This northern temperate locality produces pincushion-like rosettes of thin paddle-shaped leaves up to 3 inches across (though often smaller) on a short stem; coloration is typically a bright green with red tentacles, but under strong enough light they may blush slightly reddish. In summer, short wiry stalks will produce several small, self–pollinating white flowers. This is a species that goes dormant in winter, developing dense hibernacula which may divide to produce clumping colonies of plants.

Packets contain 30+ seeds each. This species requires a 4 week cold stratification for germination, and in summer does best in very wet, warm, and strong light environments.

Seeds are shipped in padded envelopes to avoid damage in transit, via USPS mail. US shipping only. As seeds can take time and sometimes special treatments in order to germinate properly, returns cannot be accepted and refunds are not available upon receipt of the seed packets. If a package is lost in transit, please contact as soon as possible.
