D. spatulata “Ahipara Gumfields” is a small form of the species from the far north end of New Zealand. They rarely exceed 1-1.5″ in diameter, with flat rosettes of tapered wedge to paddle-shaped leaves colored yellow-green with crimson tentacles to fully bright red. Tall stalks bear self-pollinating, bright pink flowers.
Seed packet contains 50+ seeds. This species does not require any special treatment for germination, and tolerates a wide range of conditions.
