The most classic beginner’s sundew out there, this is the plant so rampantly mislabeled as D. spatulata in common garden centers and even some specialized nurseries. Plants may grow to around 2 inches in diameter, with flat rosettes of distinctly spoon-shaped leaves (narrow petioles broadening into more or less teardrop-shaped to rounded lamina) that are bright green with red tentacles to solid crimson in strong light. The tall, wiry stalks bear several small, self-pollinating hot pink flowers, and plants often divide and bud off old leaves to form dense, clumping colonies.

Packets contain 50+ seeds each. This species requires no species treatment to germinate, and will grow in just about any environment you can grow carnivorous plants in.

Seeds are shipped in padded envelopes to avoid damage in transit, via USPS mail. US shipping only. As seeds can take time and sometimes special treatments in order to germinate properly, returns cannot be accepted and refunds are not available upon receipt of the seed packets. If a package is lost in transit, please contact as soon as possible.
