This variant of D. burmannii is famed for its color. Growing to around 1.5 inches in diameter, the thick wedge-shaped leaves stack up in columns and under good light, develop a brilliant crimson to rusty red tone (feeding heavily can increase the green color in leaves). Flower stalks can reach more than  foot high an bear numerous tiny white blooms. As a naturally annual species, this plant needs to be fed very well and seeds sown regularly to maintain a colony.

Packets contain 75+ seeds each. This species requires no special conditions to germinate, but needs regular feeding to reach maturity. Germination and growth is best under hot tropical conditions and strong light.

Seeds are shipped in padded envelopes to avoid damage in transit, via USPS mail. US shipping only. As seeds can take time and sometimes special treatments in order to germinate properly, returns cannot be accepted and refunds are not available upon receipt of the seed packets. If a package is lost in transit, please contact as soon as possible.
