If you’re looking for a plant that’s dark, relatively small, and makes tubby pitchers, this is a great option. A known male clone, this seed-grown hybrid develops leaves about 8″ long on vines that often reach only a couple feet long before blooming or making basals. Lower pitchers are usually around 3″ tall, squat and not-quite-cylindrical, with heavy mottling of deep red to purple on red-flushed tan or light brown. The peristome is often flattened and thick, opening bright red before darkening to nearly black. Upper pitchers are similar in color, but have a more funnel-shaped form.

Available rooted cuttings are between 4-10″ in diameter.

Plants are shipped bare-root wrapped in a moist paper towel, via USPS Priority mail; I typically ship Monday-Wednesday to avoid weekend hold-overs. US shipping only.
