This is a known male plant, a slow but steady grower tolerant of a wide range of growing conditions. It produces relatively stout, oblong leaves, that can flush red with strong light, and a vine that can reach several feet in length. Lower pitchers are squat and cylindrical, sporting heavy red mottling on a brownish-tan background and a strongly slanted mouth ringed by a thick, often permanently flared crimson to deep cherry peristome. Upper pitchers have a similar color, but are more cornucopia-shaped (and with the slanted mouth almost reminiscent of an aristolochioides hybrid at times) and often sport an even broader, permanently flared peristome.

Cuttings average between 4-8″ in diameter, in terms of new growth only.

Plants are shipped bare-root wrapped in a moist paper towel, via USPS Priority mail; I typically ship Monday-Wednesday to avoid weekend hold-overs. US shipping only. Many plants are grown in high humidity conditions and may require acclimation, unless otherwise noted. If you are expecting weather that may be detrimental to the plants if shipped, please message me upon making your order! Shipping cost includes heat pack for winter conditions.
