A Sarracenia purpurea ssp. purpurea (Northern Purple Pitcher Plant). This is one of my absolute favorite northern purple pitcher plants. This is one of my most beautiful purple pitcher plant clones. This one produces lime green, lightly veined pitchers in the spring, pinkish/orange gradiants in the summer and fall, before turning hues of fuchsia and purple in the winter, without getting a solid purple like most. This is the northern variety of pitcher plant and will survive outdoors with no winter protection!!! (I live in climate zone 7A). This is a single clone, all plants are genetically identical.
Size options:
Small- Juvenile, may or may not have adult pitchers
Medium- Adult pitchers, may or may not be of flowering size
Large- Adult pitchers, of flowering size and may have 1 or more growth points.
