A Mike W. clone, this species is visually similar to the northern and southern varieties of purple pitcher plant, this variety is considered to be a separate species. It is the only Sarracenia to produce pink flowers. S. rosea grows short, stout and tubby pitchers with absolutely jaw dropping colors varying from light yellow-green to shades of pink and purple, every season is the best season for this species!

Small- Juvenile, may or may not have adult pitchers
Medium- Adult pitchers, may or may not be of flowering size
Large- Adult pitchers, of flowering size and may have 1 or more growth points.
