This unusual aroid is easy-growing and rapidly-multiplying, and quite a sight to behold whether in leaf or in flower. Dormant through winter (and easy to store, in a dry, cool spot), the tubers send out a single bloom structure in spring that can be nearly 2 feet long, with a bulbous base and a long mottled spathe surrounding an often longer, slender “tongue” spadix. Take care the odor, though it doesn’t last long (a couple days) it can fill a room with eu de something dead! After the inflorescence dies one to several multi-bladed leaves between 1-5 feet tall are put up which last for several months, up to 3 feet across and with a petiole spotted in purple on green.

Price is for one dormant tuber, approximately 2-3″ in diameter, or an equivalent of smaller offsets. This is not a plant that needs humidity and may even grow in a garden bed in warmer zones.

Tubers are shipped dry-wrapped and padded, via USPS Priority mail; I typically ship Monday-Wednesday to avoid weekend hold-overs. US shipping only. Many plants are grown in high humidity conditions and may require acclimation, unless otherwise noted. If you are expecting weather that may be detrimental to the plants if shipped, please message me upon making your order!
