Venus Fly Trap
This Venus Fly Trap is between 1 and 2 years old. It has been grown from seed indoors under artificial lights, so it may need an adjustment period if you plant to keep it out doors.
Care Instructions
Sun: Full sun indoors, or outdoors 6+ hours of full sun
Water: Always sitting in distilled or purified water that is at least 1/4 of the pot deep. Let container holding pot dry out before refilling the water to the 1/4 pot depth.
Temperature: Does best from 65 degrees to 90 degrees. May tolerate temperatures over 100 degrees for short periods
Dormancy: As a native of coastal North Carolina in North America the Venus Fly Trap requires a dormancy period from about October to late February. Leaves may turn black and die back during its dormancy. Less light and less water during this time.
