Josh's Jersey Devil Carnivorous Plants. Located in the Pine Barrens of New Jersey (in the heart of Leeds' Devil territory!) I began like many others with a supermarket Venus Flytrap. Soon, I too became obsessed and ordered up every plant I found online, most of all I was intrigued by those from my home state. My fascination for these plants even lead me to study Environmental Science at my University where I was given the opportunity to research the very plants I fell in love with! Up for sale are propagated plants from my private collection. Lots of unique specimens, hybrids, temperate and tropical offerings. My schedule allows me to ship on Mondays currently. I ship via USPS Priority.
- Sold By: JerseyDevilCarnivorousPlantsSarracenia x "alata x rubra " is a smaller, but vigorous and clumping hybrid. Forms lots of clumps of long, thin pitchers that don't get much larger than about 8 inches. This specimen is intermediate between the similar-looking species. This is a great bargain for the pitcher plant lover looking for smaller trumpet pitcher plants. Size options: Small- Juvenile, may or may not have adult pitchers Medium- Adult pitchers, may or may not be of flowering size Large- Adult pitchers, of flowering size and may have 1 or more growth points.
- Sale! Sold By: JerseyDevilCarnivorousPlantsMy Venus flytrap seed was hand harvested July 2021 from plants that I myself had grown from seed and were left to be pollinated by insects. The seed in question was sourced from "deluxe mixed cultivars", which means we're 2 generations in now! Many interesting plants grew from seed; red coloration, giant traps, short teeth, all green, ground hugging, elongated traps, extra long petioles, extra short petioles, you name it. Enjoy the same process I went through all those years ago! You will receive 50 seeds. Free shipping and no inspection required on seed-only orders.
- Sold By: JerseyDevilCarnivorousPlantsAn unbeatable value for the classic Venus Flytrap! What more needs to be said? You will receive a happy, healthy adult Venus Flytrap (Dionaea muscipula), an unnamed "typical" variety which may be produced from seed or division (bareroot). Bundle options available.
- Sold By: JerseyDevilCarnivorousPlantsDrosera x tokaiensis is a very pretty and easy to care for rosetted sundew of hybrid origin (spatulata x rotundifolia). These can be grown as if they are tropical sundews on the windowsill or under lights. You will receive 1 adult plant (bareroot)
- Sold By: JerseyDevilCarnivorousPlantsA tropical forked leaf sundew that grows wildly bushy, tall, and has huge leaves that branch wildly in many directions. The forked leaf sundew is very easy to grow, right up there with the cape sundew! You will receive 1 small plant (bareroot).
- Sold By: JerseyDevilCarnivorousPlantsDrosera filiformis "NJ Pine Barrens" is an easy to grow threadleaf sundew with long, slender green leaves and red tentacles whose genetics hail from the Pine Barrens of New Jersey (produced from either seed or division/clone). The leaves average 7-9 inches at maturity. Threadleaf sundews are easily one of the most effective hunters in my gardens, becoming decorated with insects collected over the summer like a morbid Christmas tree! This is a cold hardy variety that produces a winter hibernacula and will survive hard freezes. You will receive 1 adult sized plant, bareroot. TEMPERATE PLANTS ARE DORMANT FROM FALL INTO SPRING.
- Sold By: JerseyDevilCarnivorousPlantsI have an interesting complex hybrid up for sale. I received this plant as "Sarracenia (purpurea heterophylla x moorei)". This hybrid looks like a typical Catesbei IMO. Spring pitchers tend to look green with red veins, but in the summer and fall the upper tube turns a dark crimson with excellent veination on the inner hood. Cold hardy and will survive outdoors without overwinter protection. Size options: Small- Juvenile, may or may not have adult pitchers Medium-Adult pitchers, may or may not be of flowering size Large- Adult pitchers, of flowering size and may have 1 or more growth points.
- Sold By: JerseyDevilCarnivorousPlantsThis classic hybrid grows interestingly tube shaped red pitchers with white dots interspersed over the surface. Small for a Sarracenia, but the perfect size to stand alongside your purple or parrot pitcher plants, sundews, and Venus fly traps! Size options (bareroot): Small- Juvenile, may or may not have adult pitchers Medium- Adult pitchers, may or may not be of flowering size Large- Adult pitchers, of flowering size and may have 1 or more growth points.
- Sold By: JerseyDevilCarnivorousPlantsSarracenia x "Night Sky x Leah's Child" is a white topped complex hybrid pitcher plant. This specimen here is a very beautiful with nice slim white upper pitchers. Unlike pure leucophylla which can sometimes be a tad finicky and slower growing IMO, this specimen benefits from hybrid vigor and grows fast, tall, and divides regularly! I often call it my "budget White Knight" due its passing resemblance to aforementioned cultivar. It is primarily white and tends to be more green, but some red will fill in the veins around the mouth and throat of the pitchers. If you are in the market for cheaper, impressive, and vigorous white-topped style pitcher plants then look no further! Size options: Small- Juvenile, may or may not have adult pitchers Medium- Adult pitchers, may or may not be of flowering size Large- Adult pitchers, of flowering size and may have 1 or more growth points.

This is the giant variety, which grows larger than typical ones, though still smaller than a mature King Sundew.
